Winter Solstice Night

Meg has started a Winter tradition of gathering to celebrate the Winter Solstice.
I'd never thought much about the Winter Solstice until last year when Meg shared with me all she's learned about it.

It put me on a little path of Winter Solstice study and I ended up writing and recording a Winter Solstice meditation.

Meg invited Kim and I and three of her friends.

She made us a hearty delicious Zuppa Toscana soup, and Kimmy brought amazing rosemary bread to go with it.

Meg's house was all lit up with beautiful Christmas lights and candles.
So magical.

She read us a book about the Winter Solstice and I led everyone in a meditation.

We talked about slowing down and embracing the quiet and slow pace of Winter.
We shared our wins from the past year and set intentions for the coming year.

It was one of the highlights of my entire December.

So fun to bond with my sisters and get to know Meg's friends better.
Kimmy and I drove together and ended up talking until after midnight in her driveway.
Haven't seen her in a while and we had a lot to catch up on.

Love these two so much!
And maybe I should plan a sibling Summer Solstice party. My brother Rob was born on that day. We could celebrate him too.
