Washington Trip Part 2 - A Devotional, A Walk and A Feast

The day after the wedding I spoke at a stake devotional.

Natalie's stake has had so much grief.
We laughed and cried together as we learned about how to grieve within The Grief Cycle.

As a side note: I'm now scheduling speaking engagements for 2024.
You can email me for details and available dates: beckybeck@whatmatterswithbeckybeck.com

The youth were also invited and we talked about some of the other things in life that cause us to grieve. Grief isn't tied only to death.

Hands down, the part of The Grief Cycle that surprises the most people is lamenting.
They don't know what it is and once they find out, they are surprised God encourages them to do it.

Natalie decorates for Fall.
Jensen (her dog) is taking it all in.

Turns out, Cardston is a big Spidy fan too.
He let me borrow his cool mask.

Meg and I went for a walk down the cute tree lined streets of Sumner, Washington.

The weather was dreamy.

The houses have such character.

And the company was great.

Now that I have a dog, dogs seem to love me.

Another highlight of the trip was our girls dinner at Din Thai Fung.
It gave Meg all the feels, reminding her of when she was a missionary in Taiwan.

Mama Jan treated us to a feast...

The restaurant was in a mall, which also had a place that made these...

Meg loved getting them in Taiwan.

We finished the night off with a little photo shoot...

If you're wondering, the tram is not ready yet at the Salt Lake airport, so you'll definitely get your steps in!
