Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle
I'm excited to share my new book with my favorite readers:
You can read the first couple of chapters of Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle HERE .
It's available on Kindle or in paperback.
Writing this book was very humbling.
The Lord reminded me often of the pains of grief, as well as the capacity grief opens for our heart and soul to experience joy through our Savior, Jesus Christ.
A few things my readers are saying...
It is exactly what I needed and an answer to my prayers. Even though it's a short book each chapter has so much to ponder and do. I'll probably read it more than once.
I enjoyed, so much, reading Becky Beck’s latest book, Finding Joy in The Grief Cycle. It has now been 22 years since we lost our first born daughter, at age 32, in the prime of her life. She had a very successful career, was engaged to be married, and seemed happier than she had ever been, but this beautiful life was snuffed out by a drunk driver. For more than three years I was full of hate for the young man who seemingly, without remorse or thought, chose to drive while intoxicated, killing our daughter. I wish I had this book back in 2001 as I was stuck in anger, depression, and denial. There are so many thoughts and feelings that this book ignites or will ignite in the reader, even when tragedy has numbed their senses. Even after 22 years, I experienced many tears as I read this book. Becky brings the Savior and His teachings to life, giving praise and adoration where it belongs. She has a special talent to put into words such deep and meaningful emotions and thoughts.
Thank you for reminding me that it is OK to feel and that I can breathe my way through painful triggers. I’m more of a “bury it until you can’t bury it any more” kind of person. It becomes a vicious cycle. I will practice this breathing technique to help me move through my emotions of grief. And, yes, the Lord is in the details!
If you or someone you love are experiencing the loss of a loved one, or a disappointment of any kind, I hope this book will help.
There's also a free online book club you can join with videos to support each chapter.
