Last Day of Training

I flew to Mesa Wednesday afternoon

and at 6 Thursday morning Aubs and I hit the gym.

We started with a spin class (my first spin class ever, it was so fun).

And then we hopped in the pool.

Aubrey did not have a fear of the water like I did when we began training last June, but she did need to learn to swim freestyle, which she did like a boss.

We've spent hours and hours in the pool and it was fun to finally swim together.

Later in the day my friend Christina treated me to chips and guacamole.
We both forgot our reading glasses and couldn't read the menu.

We had such a great afternoon catching up.
Christina and I go way back to our Golden Spoon days at the Valley Fair Mall my junior year of high school.

As luck would have it, the packet pick-up was right across from our restaurant.

Seriously, so lucky.
I signed in, picked up our slow swimmer swim caps and the rest of the swag.

The slowest swimmers (13 min or more) got pink caps.
Aubrey should have went with green.

And seriously, I should remember to take glasses everywhere I go.
