I am so blessed to call her my friend.
Guess what she just did?
In her 90th year, she published a book!
I went to her book launch Saturday and met several of her friends and family.
So many came out to support her.
I was privileged to be among Daryl's proofreaders last year, and it is a wonderful book.
How many women do you know who publishes a book at 90?
(Hopefully I will, 😂.)

If you followed me on This Blog, then you know I first became acquainted with Daryl's work through her book, The Art of Homemaking. I was in my early 30's with four children and in a funk with motherhood.
Fast forward to 2010 when I blogged a year of projects and quoted from her book every day for inspiration.

We met in person for the first time.
(Lilly was there too, in my belly.)
Daryl invited me over for lunch and we've been having fun visits ever since.
We even had a luncheon in my home with my girls and sisters and parents.

So grateful for our friendship and the mentor she's been to me as a wife, mother, homemaker, author 😊, and especially disciple of Jesus Christ. Her faith, dedication, and love for her Savior inspires me.
