The Traveling Tabernacle

Look who got grass!!

My temple is coming right along.

I am anxiously awaiting the announcement of the open house so I can invite all of you to come inside and see it!!

Last week we took our youth to the traveling tabernacle display where we learned about ancient temples.

A replica of the arc of the covenant.

This room is the holy of holies.

Everything in the tabernacle was symbolic.

Blue represents heaven

Red, the Atoning blood of Jesus Christ

Purple, royalty

The incense burning, prayers to our Father in Heaven

We made a quick stop for a Costco dinner...

and then went to the Oquirrh Temple to do baptisms for the dead.

We were a little lower in numbers with some of the kids at FSY.

It was very cool to learn how so much of what went on in the ancient tabernacle has carried through to the covenants we make in our modern temples.
