Her First Day

Last time I was in Arizona, Aubrey says: Hey, do you want to do a sprint triathlon with me and Bekah in September.
Becky says: What does sprint mean?
Aubrey: It's a shorter version of a triathlon
Becky: Part of the tri is swimming right?
Aubrey: Right
400 meter swim
12 miles on the bike
3 mile run
Becky: Ya, no thanks

Becky is not a fan of the water.
Despite all those years of swimming lessons as a kid, Becky never could get comfortable in the deep end.
Becky has considered taking adult swim lessons, but never seriously.

Becky gave it some thought and decided it was time she bucked up and learned to swim--and do the sprint triathlon. And she needed to choose a fitness goal to re-certify as a Creation Coach this year, so why not.

So she's been watching How to swim like Michael Phelp's on YouTube.

Meditating on feeling at home in the water.

Practicing her stroke out of the water.

And today is her first day of adult swim lessons.
She hired her girl Savannah, the high school swim team captain, to give her private lessons.
She bought some goggles and swim cap.
And told Savannah to come prepared to teach a 5 year old how to swim.

Wish Becky luck.
