My Jam
Last week I was asked to sub a couple of days for early morning seminary.
I have never taught seminary at 6am and I realized a few things--the early morning, the shorter lesson (they're about an hour, as apposed to 1 1/2 during the regular school day), and the dedication of the kids to get up and be there that early, was totally my jam!
Loved every minute.
We talked about what's it's like to fail to thrive physically, and what it feels like to fail to thrive spiritually.
Willie helped me teach.
We talked about Jesus. He's just the greatest and wants to help us repent so we can be closer to Him, have more joy in our living, and thrive spiritually.
We also talked about some of Jesus's names, focusing in on the Good Shepherd and how He can comfort us in ways nothing or no one else can.
And we talked about hirelings offering counterfeit comforts--who the adversary is always trying to get us to follow.
A few of the kids shared times when they were that sheep sitting with the Savior.
It's a miracle to me that he can take care of the one, no matter how many "one's" need him.
