Fun Times with Kloe in Florida

On May 8th, Kloe and I set out on an adventure to Orlando, Florida, where she served 6 months of her mission.

After years of good intentions to register for TSA pre check, last month Kev and I finally did it.

And here I am after flying through security in like 2 minutes. 

Had to wait 15 more minutes for Kloe so we could set off for our Florida adventure!

Since this was Kloe's trip, she'll provide some commentary in red...

First stop:

TIJUANA FLATS!!!!!

This place is the best and holds many mems. #TacoTuesdayswithMelissa

Kloe loves their double grilled steak tacos, and now I know why.

Their guac was 10/10.

More on that delicious sauce she's getting ready to drink later.

Big Tree Park

This little park was beautiful!

No wonder she loved to come here.

SISTER BASCOM. I love this woman. 

Sister Bascom was Kloe's "mission mom" in Florida. 

I was so grateful to meet her and thank her in person.

Fun fact about her husband Ben--he creates video games for a living and worked on Kloe's favorite childhood game, Littlest Pet Shop. He's currently working for EA Sports and working on the newest Madden.

Spent day 2 at Universal Studios Orlando.

We got a park hopper pass so we could ride the Hogwart Express and see both Harry Potter parks.

It was all very cool.

This is the Hagrid ride. 10/10. It was so much fun with a lot of surprises!

Fast forward to the 3 minute mark to see the ride.

We took a ridiculous amount of selfies this trip.

 

Mom couldn't take the heat of the velocicoaster. 

 

She's right. It was extremely jerky, still fun, but a one and done for Becky Beck.

I'm glad I watched the video. I had my eyes closed for so much of the ride I missed a bunch 😂😂😂.

We got pranked on this ride. 0/10. Wait time = absurd. Soak level = absurd. It took us hours to recover from this one. If you listen close enough you can still hear my mom whining about it.

The freaking water just kept coming.

Hated it.

Rode it before lunch, still weren't dry by dinner.

This was for Logie and Beau Bear

Still soggy from the freaking Popeye ride. 

FYI : Frozen butter beer is way better than regular

So true. And still soaked.

We got our fill of butter beer in Hogwarts, then took the Hogwart Express (which was so cool) to Diagon Alley.

Kloe loved the Weasley store.

Just like in the book and movie.

I should probably admit here. I've only read the first Harry Potter book and slept watched through all the movies.

Yummiest dinner ever at Mama Dellas! 10/10 recommend this as well.

Why are we always winking?

Also loved the 20 minute walk to get there.

I know you're having FOMO-OTF (Fear Of Missing Out on this Food) looking at this. 

Chocolate Factory = 8/10. Docked two points because 1. We were exhausted and the wait time was forever. 2. We were not physically ready for it. Still full from Mama Della's. 

3. The cookie brownie Sunday was good, but should have opted for one of their shakes, like Bettyna recommended, instead.

This day kicked both our butts.

Clocked 27,000 steps each.

We debated back and forth whether we should do another amusement park the following day.
