Easter Sunday 2023
We willed it.
Along with the rest of Utah, we willed some Spring to come our way for Easter Sunday.
And now we just need to will the snow on the mountains to behave.
There's talk of potential flooding like we had back in the 80's.
I remember that.
The city brought in tons of sand bags and they turned state street into a river.
We had a beautiful church service.
Gracie and Lesa played a piano/violin duet (so sorry grandparents, it was a last minute thing and I forgot to get the word out 😔).
We sang I Know that My Redeemer Lives, which I cannot get through without getting all choked up.
The words of that song cover everything we could possibly need our Savior for and they are a beautiful reminder we don't have to do anything alone.
We listened to testimonies of Christ and partook of His Holy Sacrament, which I've missed terribly since we had General Conference last week and church was closed when we were on the road the week before.
Father daughter twinning.
Friday Kevin took Gracie for her mission physical.
What that means is after she gets her TB test back she'll have finished her papers and can turn them in May 16th.
Look at these cuties celebrating Easter in Arizona.
While we were freezing in Utah, the boys were watching Peter Rabbit on the outdoor screen in Arizona.
And this boy hit a weight milestone last week and he's climbing!
It looks like the combination of meds that increase his hunger, a very small dose of thyroid, and a colostrum supplement are doing him some good.
So proud of you Willie!
And thank you my friends for all the prayers.
Prayers work.
Can't wait to squeeze them all later this month.
Gracie lamented over this being her last year with Easter spoils from Mama Linda and Papa Dave.
They are so spoiled!
One of my favorite things is to hold hands as we give a blessing over our Sunday dinner.
However, I'm usually so frazzled from preparing everything that by the time I sit down I forgot.
Not this day, we held hands, gave thanks and a blessing.
I missed the 10 hands that were celebrating in Arizona.
This little cutie really did like hunting for eggs, despite the look.
My baby loved finding eggs too.
So grateful for Jesus Christ and the opportunity to celebrate his sacrifice and all the blessings that follow.

1. I know that my Redeemer lives.
What comfort this sweet sentence gives!
He lives, he lives, who once was dead.
He lives, my ever-living Head.
He lives to bless me with his love.
He lives to plead for me above.
He lives my hungry soul to feed.
He lives to bless in time of need.
2. He lives to grant me rich supply.
He lives to guide me with his eye.
He lives to comfort me when faint.
He lives to hear my soul's complaint.
He lives to silence all my fears.
He lives to wipe away my tears.
He lives to calm my troubled heart.
He lives all blessings to impart.
3. He lives, my kind, wise heav'nly Friend.
He lives and loves me to the end.
He lives, and while he lives, I'll sing.
He lives, my Prophet, Priest, and King.
He lives and grants me daily breath.
He lives, and I shall conquer death.
He lives my mansion to prepare.
He lives to bring me safely there.
4. He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
He lives! All glory to his name!
He lives, my Savior, still the same.
Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
"I know that my Redeemer lives!"
