The Good Life

Papa Tom used to talk about "the good life".

He was always noticing the good in life.

Here's what the good life has looked like for me recently...

PEACHES

The really good ones only come around once a year and I eat as many as I possibly can.

They make me so happy.

Pumpkin also makes me happy and I love it when Trader Joe's brings out all their Fall pumpkin goodness.

My niece and mom showing up on my porch was such a good surprise last week!

You all know I LOVE the missionaries and missionary work.

Braylee served in Texas for a time before she had to come home for health issues.

It took a while for a diagnosis and instead of waiting around for the Dr's to clear her to go back to Texas, she welcomed the opportunity to be a service missionary where she lives.

She works 40 hours a week serving Jesus in all sorts of ways.

(And one perk of service missions is you can fly to Utah for your cousin's wedding and to visit your grandma Jan and Aunt Becky.)

Braylee's been such a great example to me.

Watching my girls love this puppy has been good for my heart.

Lilly loves all the animals.

Georgia likes Hotel Transylvania, just like Lilly.

And it's always good to see my girls develop their talents.

A voice solo for Gracie and Piano solos for Janie and Lilly at their recital.

My kids reaching their goals = The Good Life

These two are a couple months away from graduating with their bachelor degrees from Weber State University (and enjoying a date night at the U game).

Saturday night lights = The Good Life

Thanks Dad, for showing me the good life and for sending me reminders of you--like when Estabon wears your tie to church 💙.

And thanks to earthly angels (especially Will's Mama) and some from heaven too, who have helped Will get what he needs. 

In a matter of weeks he's a new baby.

The good life.
