Sick Baby Will
Last week our sweet Will was diagnosed with failure to thrive.
He's not been putting on weight, despite still nursing regularly and eating solids.
The dr's have Aubrey supplementing his diet with extra ounces and fatty foods. After just a few days he put on 6 ounces so we were feeling hopeful.
Then he came down with the stomach flu.
For three days they tried to keep food down.
They also struggled to keep his fever down--it was as high as 104.
He ended up in the hospital Tuesday.
His poor mama has been pretty sleep deprived.
He's seen several specialists and been monitored closely.
His fever has stayed down the last couple of days, but he's still throwing up.
The dr's maintain it's the stomach flu.
Pretty terrible timing for stomach flu.
Wednesday he was given a feeding tube.
Getting it in was rough.
He pulled it out in the middle of the night
It came out again with all the throwing up and it's been a struggle getting it in every time.
They also had to redo his IV, poor baby.
Breaks this Grandma's heart.
I flew in yesterday to help with Beau and Logan.
I'm not sure which feels worse.
My babies being sick.
Or my baby's babies being sick.
If you'd like to send prayers Will's way we would all appreciate it.
