A Whole Lotta Fun on the 4th

We began celebrating America in Malad.
Their small town parade is one of a kind.

Kloe came too!

It's been a few years since we've been to the Malad parade.
I remembered it being short, but this year it seemed extra short.
Maybe 20-25 minutes.

They added H2O to the mix and Janie wasn't a fan.

Someone dumped an entire bucket of water on her.
Not funny.
Especially when it's not that hot (yet) and you don't have a change of clothes.

And then came the fire trucks.
They were soaking people too.
Esty, Jenna and I took cover behind the bus, just in time.

The candy distribution was just like we remembered it.
And now we're all stocked up for Halloween.

We stopped at the grave.

And then Emmy's bestie Haley invited us to her new home just a few minutes from Malad.

Haley has become the cutest little pioneer woman.

Fun Fact: Haley has had 4 babies and has built 4 houses since she and Jake got married.

They have a cute little farm.

Rosie is very friendly and really liked Jenna.

They have chickens, goats, two dogs and some cats.

Cody just digging through a cow pie.

Hunter showed us a big cricket and then smashed it with a rock.
Her boys are in country heaven.

We love Haley!
She and Emmy have been friends since elementary school.

We headed back to the park for some shade, food and Lilly took 5th in the 11 year old girl race.

We finished the day with a BBQ.

The kids may or may not have watched fireworks.
They were going off all around our house.
I can't keep my eyes open after 10 so I slept right through them.
Happy Birthday America! We love you!
