NOGENTTTT π₯³π€πΌπ - Sister Beck's Weekly Update
I'm baaaaack! After one whole week of not hearing from me π
A lot has happened. My good friends Daniel, Jessica, and JoΓ£o got baptized!!! I had Zone Conference in Paris π my comp got her phone stolen... another one. I had to do my OFII appointment ππ© I finally met my MTC comp in person!! Aaaand we got transfer news!
You know when you've heard something before and you don't really think twice about it but then when you are in a certain phase of life and you hear it again, it's like the Heavens part and angels start singing and you feel like you've just figured it all out? Too dramatic? ;) Well that's how I felt when SΕur Morgan said the phrase: "Change isn't the obstacle it's the opportunity"

Like HUH?
I have always seen change as such a big OBSTACLE. Something I HAVE to do and I dread it all the time. I nearly went right back home when I had to leave my trainer after 6 weeks π
I am not a fan of change. It's almost always been hard for me. But, if I switch my focus to change being an opportunity; an opportunity for growth, refinement, and new experiences... I kind of like the sound of change.
For the rest of my mission I am going to make it a goal to embrace change and appreciate all the ways it helps me improve. So if I start whining about it again in my emails, any and all of you are allowed to chastize me.
Yup. Sr Guinn got her phone stolen on the metro...... Paris is brutal. She also just had it in her pocket like a noob so all parties involved were at fault. You gotta keep your stuff tucked away and close to you !!
OFII is a thing you have to do to become "official" in France... I still can't talk about it. ❕T R A U M A❕
We were sitting in the Paris Est Gare eating macrons and a guy slowly starts making his way right up to us. Me, being who I am, death gripped my carry on bag because I trust no one and for the next full minute we're all just staring at each other like

Finally he goes (in french): uh I just wanted to say you guys look like cool girls. And... your friend here (points to me) has pretty eyes...
We were like "thanks we're here to talk about Jesus, are you interested?"
He goes "D'accord...."
and slowly walked away while Sr Guinn tried to share a message lol
I love the gare
In other news a train nearly blew out my ear drums. We were walking right next to it and for some reason the driver.. train conductor? Decided to toot the horn for no reason and it was quite literally the loudest sound I have ever heard, and what's crazier is I'm pretty sure my Uncle Steve heard it too.
TRANSFERS !!!!!!!
I have been extremely blessed and I am going to NOGENT!! SPANISH SPEAKINGGGGG π₯³π₯³ FINALEMENT ! I have wanted to serve in Nogent before I even became a missionary ππ I am EXCITED. I'm pretty sure when president told me I blacked out, I couldn't believe it. I'll be in a trio with Hermana Chavez and Hermana Gonzalez. I have loved serving in Luxembourg, it is holy ground for sure. Mais, je suis trΓ¨s prΓͺt et j'ai hΓ’te d'arriver en France !! Over half my mission I haven't been assigned to a Spanish secteur. To say I'm ready and bursting with joy is an understatement. I seriously can't wait. I'm π§ JUICED π§
President and Sister Hansen surprised us and came to Luxembourg for the baptisms and just hung out with all of us !! It was so fun :)
I am happy. I hope you are feeling happy too. I love you all.
