Hawaii - Dole Whips & Tattoos

The weather was perfect our entire trip.

The girls did some research and found out if you put your flower behind your right ear it means you're available. Behind your left means your taken.
Except that neither one of these girls are available until they are 21 ;)

Macadamia nut pancakes from Papa Ole's is our favorite!

The Dole Plantation was so much fun!

The train tour of the gardens was a first for all of us and the Dole Whips are what keep me coming back to this Island.

We spent one day at the Polynesian Cultural Center, but they don't open til 12:45 so we got in some great beach time that morning.

Reading a good book on the beach is one of my favorite things of all time.
I love to dig my feet in the sand and read and read and read.
This was one of my vacation books.

It was really good and really disturbing.
Kind of a painful read but I'm glad I read it.
I liked it enough to start reading Kate's The Radium Girls--also, really disturbing. I'm only a third of the way through, so the jury is still out on whether or not I'd say it was really good.
I also started this book and so far I am loving it...

Hannah quotes Bible verses as she teaches, which I love.

We all loved the Polynesian Cultural Center!
It has been almost 10 years since Kev and I have been and our favorite comedian was still there!
Didn't have great seats though, so no pictures to prove it.

The highlight of Lilly's day was Janie volunteering their Dad to help out in New Zealand land.
Helping out in New Zealand land was not the highlight of Kevin's trip.

Lilly only packed two shirts so she borrowed some of mine and yes, she is wearing shorts under that shirt.

The Luau was sold out so we had dinner at the PCC buffet.
We were all starving and ate our weight in all the good eats.

I don't have pictures of the Breath of Life show but when I was awake, I was loving it.
