The Friend

Lilly came down with a cold over the weekend.

Back to school=back to germs

And while it's a bummer to get sick, it's a win for the mom and all the extra snuggles.

She's 10.

I gotta get it in while I still can.

We watched church online and then she read The Friend to me for almost an hour.

(The Friend is a children's magazine our church publishes each month.)

One of the stories was about a boy around her age who woke up one morning to find out his dad had passed away.  He talked about all the great memories he had made with his dad.  We talked about how sad it was for Papa Tom to lose his dad when he was 9.  We also talked about all the great memories Lilly made with her Papa Tom before he died.  She especially loved playing games with her grandpa.

We did several hidden picture puzzles.

Those were always my favorite part of The Friend.
