Girls Trip to Logan
When my girl Aubrey says We should have a girls trip.
I say, YESSSSS!
We talked about a variety of locations and times, then settled on Logan--one of our favorite places.
I told her to make a list of everything she wanted to do.
The minute we got in the car we started talking and never stopped.
We both have lots of thoughts and words so we are good company :)
First stop: Morty's for a pineapple burger and sweet potato fries
Morty's also has scone fries, which we highly recommend.
Next up: Sealings in the Logan temple
We were able to get caught up on my family names.
They'd been sitting in my temple bag for almost two years.
The sealer suggested Aubrey pay attention to the male names--since she and Jax are deciding on possible names for #3. None really stood out though.
Third stop: shakes at Charlie's.
Hot fudge brownie for Aubrey.
Heath for me.
Then we checked into our hotel, changed our clothes and headed for Logan canyon.
When the sign says, "Watch for falling rocks", it's not kidding.
Aubrey may be 6 months pregnant, but she can hike like a boss.
She led us on a 6 miler with lots of uphill climbs and breathtaking views!!
She said it would be great training for a little mother son hike Jax and I will be embarking on.
She was right.
When we finished it was still pretty hot and our dogs were barking, so we changed our shoes and soaked our feet in the freezing water.
By the time we got to the Tandoori Oven at 9pm we were STARVING!
And we could barely walk.
This place is worth the drive.
I'd take another trip to Logan today, just for the Indian food.
We went back to the hotel and crashed.
Slept in and then talked and talked until I realized it was 10:45 and we had to be out by 11.
We headed straight for brunch at Herm's.
If you're coming up for some Indian food, you might as well spend the day and have breakfast at Herm's.
Aub's and I highly recommend the lemon butter french toast.
Aubrey's love language is ice cream, so we stopped for a couple scoops before heading home.
It was such a fun trip! The only thing that could have made it better is if we could have stayed one more night.
Take a guess at what happened to Aubrey's arm?
See those two tiny bite marks?
She can thank little Logan for those!
Traveling is hard for a toddler and when they got to Utah he was pretty upset and bit her! Poor baby (and poor mom).
