Summer Fun 2005

Missed this gem in the Jackson Hole post...

Cute little skinny guy!
He loved Kindergarten, learning to read and is so good with numbers!
He has the best sense of humor and at 6 he can run smack at his dad like no other.
I took him into the Dr a few weeks ago to have a cyst looked at on his stomach.  The Doc said to watch it for a few months and if it doesn't get smaller it will need to be removed.  Turns out, it didn't need to be removed.  The cyst spontaneously ruptured while Kev and the three oldest were sitting in the bleachers at the Rocky Mountain Review.  Kevin squoze it and tons of puss came out.
When Dakota saw it he threw up right in Kevin's hands.  That started a chain reaction with Jax and Emmy dry heaving.  Good times.
A few months ago he decided he was ready to learn to ride his bike without the training wheels.  Kevin took them off and away Kota went.  Rode like a pro and he can't get enough.
The whole family loves to ride bikes together.  Kevin pulls Gracie and Kloe in what Kloe calls, "the Kloe cart".  The kids love to ride to Liberty Park.  It makes me so nervous with them riding along the busy street, but Kevin thinks nothing of it.  He used to ride his bike all over the place as a kid.
Kloe absolutely adores Gracie and has never ever been jealous of her.
She tells me, "I love that baby, mom".
Kloe is also the queen of pretending.  She can entertain herself with anything: spoons, combs, ribbons.  She pretends they are people and carries on little conversations all day long.  It's so funny to watch.
Kloe and Kaitlynn are best friends.  Such cute cousins, always playing barbies and polly pockets and they love dressing up like princesses.
They love Karter too, but he's not so much interested in princesses and polly's.

We spent lots of time at Raging Waters again this summer!
You can't beat $45 season passes.
The kids never ever get sick of the water.

The brothers love all things sports.
Jackson has started playing baseball for the Taylorsville Angels.
He's their best pitcher and a great hitter.
The Angels won their division and Jax made the all-star team.
Kev gets so nervous at every game, pacing back and forth, giving Jackson pointers through his hand signals.
Football is still his first love, but baseball's a close second.

Golf with dad and Papa Dave is pretty fun too.

Emmy's also a baseball fan and will start softball next year.
Papa Dave gave her a lefty mitt and she's so excited!

We worked in a cabin trip.
It's tradition to get shakes at "The Train Place" (The Dairy Keen).

Kevin took the kids on a hike to the place where he proposed to me 13 years ago!

Kevin demonstrating how he kissed me after I said yes.

I don't have photos of the day he proposed, but these were taken in the same spot taken shortly before he left on his mission.

It's nuts to think we've been together almost 18 years.
And I still can't get enough of him.
