Halloween 2002

It's Halloween tradition to make the rounds to family and friends.
We stopped to see Grandma Dee Dee.
She always loves a visit with the greats!
One stop we always make is to Vic and Betty next door.
I wish I had a photo.
They are the sweetest neighbors.
They are in their 70's and have lived next door, even way back when Kevin's grandpa owned our house.
When we first moved in Vic was so friendly.  He'd come stand at the fence and talk with Kevin about whatever was on his mind.  He still does.  Betty was a little stand-off-ish at first.  I wondered if she was nervous about our kids being loud and wild.  But in time, she grew to love the kids.  How could she not?

We trick-or-treated at Mama Jan and Papa Tom's.
Grandma Jan gives the trick-or-treaters who are related to her, extra treats.

Final stop, Mama Linda and Papa Dave's for homemade pizza and trick-or-treating!

It was so fun watching Kloe loving all the Halloween magic!

October means all things Halloween for most people, but for Jackson Beck it means all things football!!!
He has been waiting practically his entire life (or at least since he was four) to play tackle football!
He started practicing with his team in August and he is LOVING IT.
I had no idea how much commitment was involved with playing football--for the player and the parents.
I also had no idea he would love it so much--that never not once have I needed to remind him to get ready for practice.  He is always on it, ready and waiting when it's time to go.
The kid's a natural.
The thousands of hours of watching football with his dad and playing Madden are paying off.

Dakota turns four this month.
He has the best sense of humor, he's also a thinker, and a teaser.
He loves it when Papa Tom comes over to help with a project.
First thing he does is put on his little tool belt and he's ready to go!

Emmy is loving learning the violin.
She has lessons at 6am and doesn't even mind because it means she gets to play her violin.
And sometimes she gets cinni-minis from McDonalds, so that helps.

And I'm just going to say it.
Kloe May is the sweetest, easiest baby I've ever had.
Her dad is her favorite.  I'm next in line.

She manages to wrap everyone around her little finger with no effort at all.
