Christmas Eve at the Moon Ranch was magical, as always.
The minute we see their house and barns from the lane, it gets exciting.
There's a feeling you get the minute you walk in the back door. It's toasty warm and the house is filled with the sounds of country Christmas music.
It was so nice to be with my grandparents.
I love making these kinds of memories with our family!
I found out early on as a parent, that making memories=extra effort and sometimes work, but they are always worth it!
It's usually just extra effort, planning ahead, sticking to the plan, and seeing it through.
My favorite thing is to sit in the living room and talk with my grandparents while they watch the kids play.
Grandpa is a tease and can always make my grandma laugh. The best is when he really gets her laughing. They both have amazing memories. We usually go months without seeing them, and they always pick up with their questions about where we left off with our last visit.
Grandpa Moon's dad, Verlorum Moon, played the violin like a boss!
Grandpa loves to hear Emmy play.
We had our very own nativity...
The day was also all about me.
Can't think of a better way to celebrate my 31 years of life.
The kids opened their Christmas PJ's before we headed home.
We're always sad to go, but even the drive home is magical.
Kevin turns on the Christmas music and all the kids fall asleep.
He and I hold hands and talk, or just listen to the music.
Then we carry all our sleeping babies in the house and put them to bed.
The kids were up early and after round one of gifts we went to Kevin's parents house for #2.
We left with our bellies full of good food and our arms full of gifts.
They always spoil us.
