Harman’s Towing

Getting our repo company up and going has been rough!

It's been one set back after another.
This little tow truck breaks down almost every time they take it out.
But, things have been much better since the tow truck caught fire a few weeks ago.
The fire was the icing on the cake for all the disappointments we've had with this repo company.
On the way home Kev kept thinking to himself, "I am completely forsaken", over and over.  He's not sure why that particular word kept coming to mind.  Then the following day he was reading the Ensign magazine and there was a quote by President Hinckley.
It went something like,
"Things work out...It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is...Don't worry, I say that to myself every morning...It will all work out...If you do your best and put your trust in God and move forward in faith and confidence in the future...The Lord will not forsake us...He will not forsake us if we put our trust in Him."
This brought Kevin and me both so much peace and comfort.
As Kevin read those words he felt as if God was speaking directly to him.
He told me it was no coincidence that the word "forsake" was said twice the day after it had been running through his mind.
With all that has been going on over the past five months I have somehow felt blessed to be going through this "fire".  It will be nice to have it over, but I can already see our lives being blessed.

It's crazy how everything can change in a day.
Since the truck caught fire Kevin has been given the opportunity to buy Harman's Towing, a successful towing business that has been around for years.  It operates out of West Valley on a good size piece of property (which is included with the sale).  It also comes with five tow trucks.  The land and tow trucks will facilitate being able to grow the repo business.  The tow company will pay our bills in the mean time.
When he first found the advertisement for the sale in the paper, he asked my dad to come with him to look at the property.  My dad brought my Uncle Mark, who's great with business related matters.
The paper didn't disclose the sales price.  It wasn't until Kevin was with my dad and uncle at the property that the broker talked numbers.  When Kevin heard the price, he about died.  There was no way we could come up with that much money, and he felt bad for wasting my dad and uncle's time.  He was surprised when they didn't bat an eye at the price.  They were both so excited and fixated on the land and what opportunities it could hold.
By nothing short of a miracle we were able to work out the financing and Kevin's repo partner is on board to come work with him.  It looks like they will close on the sale early next year.
What a difference a day can make.
