Kloe's Plan B Trip - Day 1

See why we cancelled Yosemite...

We'll try again later.
Maybe third time will be the charm.

We left it up to Kloe to plan plan B.
First stop, Moab and little hike to Corona Arch.
I literally was not prepared for the heat.
Thick heavy pants
Black shirt
No hair tie
I mentioned it was 98 degrees but Kloe now tells me it was well over 100.
It was a pretty easy hike.
But I noticed I was feeling off, and when we got close to the arch my ears started ringing.

It was very cool.
(The arch was cool, the weather was no where near cool.)

Turns out Kloe was feeling off too and started to black out.
And then we realized we probably should have brought more water.
You would think, after Kloe and Kevin's Red Castle water shortage, they would always pack plenty of water.
It was supposed to be a short little hike.

It was slow going, but Kevin got her back to the car.
We planned to hike to Delicate Arch later in the day but when we checked the temperature, we decided against it.
Kloe and I chilled in the hotel room for a few hours while Kevin went to La Sal to check his trail cam (the one we placed while we were there last month).
And then we took Kloe for a belated graduation dinner and it was perfect...

Went to the Sunset Grill.
Watched the sunset.
Ate delicious food.

Our girl wanted a cookie dough shake for dessert, so we tracked one down at the Moab Diner and then went to bed early so we could be up at 4 for a FULL day of Beckventuring:)
