Really Great Teachers
Our kids have been blessed with some really great teachers over the years!
Brother Sackett is definitely one of Kloe's favorites.
He was her 9th grade Seminary teacher.
Seminary has been such a blessing for my kids.
A break from the world in their busy school schedules, and helped them build their personal testimonies of Christ.
Kloe had an experience in Brother Sackett's class that none of us will forget.
One day he was teaching on a subject and some of the things he said didn't sit right with Kloe.
She came home and talked to me and Kevin about it, looked for answers in the scriptures and the words of living prophets, and then had the courage to share what she'd learned in class.
Brother Sackett listened and realized he'd misinterpreted some doctrine. He not only thanked Kloe but he emailed me and Kevin, thanking us for encouraging our kids to ask questions and helping her get answers.
Brother Sackett kept all of Kloe's Seminary tests and assignments and then brought them to her a couple of weeks ago. He does this for all his students when they graduate, so they can see how much they've grown in the gospel. How cool is that? And that's a lot of students to visit!
This week we spent three fun-filled days with Kloe May, packed with adventuring!
We celebrated Kloe with a graduation dinner at sunset.
Hiked to Corona Arch (yes, that really is a thing) in the 98 degree heat--which we will NEVER do again.
Visited three national parks and one state park on Wednesday, another national park on Thursday.
Spent some time taking care of school stuff at SUU.
And had the best pizza in Utah before heading home yesterday.
I'll blog some of the details next week :)
