Date with Mama Jan
No school today!
I think the kids favorite thing about no school days is sleeping in.
They don't love the 6:15am wake up calls.

Last night Lilly went on a date with Mama Jan!

They went to dinner at IHop and Mama Jan let her have two kids meals.
Grandma's are cool like that.
Her second dinner was chicken nuggets.

Lilly was so excited!
It was her first show at the new Hale Centre Theatre and they both loved it!

Can we even believe this girl is going to turn nine next month.
Nine.
That leaves only one year until she hits the double digits.
I feel like the double digits are when they stop needing me so much. They start to get a mind of their own and no longer believe everything I tell them.
Actually, Lilly stopped believing me when she was like five.
She's such a smart little stink.
And while we are talking about February birthdays, that other cute girl is turning 70 next month!
Nobody'd ever guess. She stopped aging years ago.
Our weekend lineup goes something like this...
Frozen II
Checking out someone's soon-to-be new home
A temple session
Saturday chores
Church & Come Follow Me studies
Family night with Kevin's family and A BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR GARREN AND AUNT TAM!!
An episode or two of Lost in Space for Mom, Dad and Janie
(One of the things the kids love to do is have a show they watch with their Dad. He's also currently watching The Crown with Emmy--on Vidangel, of course).
A few other shows he and his kids have bonded over...
Kloe and Dad - New Girl
Jackson, Dakota and Dad - Walking Dead
Gracie and Dad - Frasier
