Archery Hunt
Kevin, Jackson and Janie have been planning for their December archery hunt for months.
Janie and Kevin spent all last week in Arizona.
The plan was to camp in the trailer, hunt in the mornings and evenings, and then Jackson would meet up with them Wednesday night.
Everything went as planned until Wednesday and then it all went downhill fast, because they decided to go up a hill that was way too steep.
Long story short.
The trailer did not fair well on the up hill climb.
The generator came loose and gasoline spilled all over.
The bunk beds were damaged by the generator and by the time they came back down the hill the trailer wasn't fit for sleeping. The hunting spot they were trying to get to was over grown with tall sage brush. They checked two more areas and one was closed and the other was crawling with hunters.
So they cut their losses and went to the Beck Manor which is just as good as any 5 star hotel.
They loved on the babies.
One morning Kev and Jax hiked into a hunting spot and saw lots of deer but none they could shoot (any day Kevin can see wildlife is a good day).
They also went to a 3-D archery range which I'm told was awesome.
They got to go to Beau's bowling birthday party, which they loved!
And then before heading home they went dove hunting, which Janie thought was THE COOLEST!
So, it all worked out.
They had fun and got way more family time than they'd planned for.
