Kauai Girls Trip - So. Much. Mud.
On this particular day we adventured hard!
It started with a 2 1/2 mile kayak trip down the river.
Trish and I had a hard time going straight.
It had to be a faulty kayak.
We came in dead last to a whole bunch of kayakers.
We parked our kayak and set off on a hike.
We crossed rivers.
We hiked over rocks.
And we trudged through a truck load of mud.
PS. Don't wear shoes like mine to hike in the mud.
They would get stuck in the mud, and then flip mud everywhere.
I finally took them off and walked barefoot.
I'm not sure what I was so excited about here...
I only slipped and fell twice, once in the mud and once in the water.
At the end of the hike was an incredible waterfall.
The sisters all jumped into the freezing cold water.
They begged me to jump in.
Are you kidding me.
I wanted no part of that.
I did love the waterfall though.
And I got in up to my waist :)
The sisters called me Dora every time I wore my explorer hat...
On the way back, Trish and I made some adjustments to our rowing and decided to race Meg and Kimmy back to the dock.
We may have forgot to tell them it was a race.
But it worked out.
We totally won!
By the time we finished and dropped off the Kayak we were starving!
So it was tacos for dinner and burgers and fries for second dinner.
And then ice cream for dessert.
Such a great day!
