A Beloved Daughter

Our Janie Rose is a very grown up and mature 5th grader.
She's not just growing fast in height, but also emotionally and spiritually, and I love to be able to watch her transforming into a beautiful, strong, independent young lady.

She was asked to give a talk in the Primary program last week (this program happens once a year and the children do all the music and talks for our Sacrament Meeting, it's the best).
She asked the family to share some ideas and then she put the talk together all by herself.
She did such a great job.

It was her very last Primary program.
In January she will move on from Primary to the Young Women's program and she will be able to do proxy baptisms in the temple for her ancestors who have died.
She can't wait!
She's already decided she wants her first temple to be the Payson Utah temple!

Her church leaders have been teaching her about the Young Women theme and she's been studying and thinking about it.
She's so much more advanced in her testimony of and relationship with Christ than I was at her age.

Last night we gathered to watch one of our apostles, Elder Gong and other church leaders teach us about the new children's and youth program.  It is such a great program!  The Lord loves these children so much!  You can learn more about it HERE.  You don't need to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to implement the goals with your children, and every child and youth are welcome to join in the weekly activities in your area.
