Well, we've had the chickens for almost six months now and we're still not sick of them.

In fact, we like them more every day.
Especially now that they are earning their keep.



Lilly likes to take command of the farm.
This is the closest she'll ever get to having a little sister.

Tuesday was the day we've been waiting for.
Finally, a blue-green egg showed up in one of the nesting boxes, courtesy of Chica, our one and only Ameraucana chicken. She was the last Ameraucana at IFA when we bought the chickens. I would have liked to have three. I just love the color of those eggs.

So far, the record is seven eggs in one day!

They come in all sizes :)
