A Few Words About the Weekend

Happy OCTOBER!!!
This might be the best pumpkin treat I've ever tasted...

I just wanted to say a few words about our weekend.
The best part--Estabon came home.
YAY!!
But he woke up very sick Saturday :(
I was glad he could be sick at home where I could pump him full of all my potions.

It was a fun weekend but Friday night was NUTS at the Beck house.
Gracie and her friends were in the basement watching movies and playing ping pong--she had to reserve the place days in advance because it's always in high demand on the weekend.
Dakota and his lady friend were on the back porch hot tubbing and watching movies.
He hooked up his big TV and speakers.  Hopefully the neighbors weren't too bugged by all the noise.
Me and Lilly were sleep-watching a show in my room.
(Have I mentioned how much I love to sleep-watch movies and TV shows?  It's what I do.)
Kloe and Nick were watching a movie in Kevin's office.
Kevin went to bed out in the trailer since there was no room for him in the Beck inn.
The kids also ate pizza and made popcorn and cookies.
The place was hoppin'.
I took no pictures because I hibernated in my room with Lilly all night.
But it's nights like these I want to remember because it is an answer to a prayer I offered 20ish years ago when I prayed for a home that would facilitate my kids having fun with all their friends.

I should probably say something about Estabon and his lady friend.
The lady friend I mentioned is not Rachel.
To put it simply, Dakota and Rachel decided to go their separate ways a while back.

Jenna is Dakota's current lady friend.
She is darling.
Dakota's favorite mission companion just so happened to have a sister he wanted Dakota to meet and they've had a lot of fun together.

Did you know ax throwing is a thing?
I had no idea.
It's kind of like going to a shooting range but you chuck axes at the target instead.

Saturday we went to a cultural event hosted by the Samoan's in our Sauniatu ward.

It was such a great afternoon!

The performances were so fun!

And these kids were the cutest!

Sunday at church we were taught about the new children's and youth program the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will be implementing January 1, 2020.
It is amazing and just what they need.

Here's Lilly filling out the goal sheet each of the children and youth will work on, with the support of their family and leaders.
So simple but so powerful.
I can't wait to see the fruits of the new program.
