Trust in the Lord

Last night was our first Sollis Family Home Evening without Papa Tom.
It was also our first Sollis FHE in 2019.
It's tradition for Papa Tom to introduce the theme for the new year and give the lesson.
Even though he's not with us, he still helped Mama Jan know what theme he thought our family would need this year...

I decided to go with a pancake bar for dinner.
It doubled as dinner and dessert.
I also had some eggs and potatoes but these guys stuck to pancakes and ice cream.

The cousins played hard and Janie and Lilly introduced them to their little chickies.

This scripture was the last one we put on Dad's white board last December.
He loved it and he lived it.

Mama Jan introduced the theme and song (Now Let Us Rejoice, LOVE that song) and Megan gave the lesson.  She showed us THIS video and then we talked about what the scripture means to us and what it meant to Papa Tom.

I think it's safe to say that we miss Papa Tom every day.
Kevin missed him last night while he was trying to fix the short in the interior lights of the bus (he always helped Kev with all things elecrical).
I missed him yesterday while I was painting Gracie's room.
Kloe missed him when she opened a fortune cookie that said "You deserve the best" (he used to always say that).
All of us missed him last night.

Birthday shout out to one of our favorite GREAT Grandmas!!

We love you Mama Linda 😘
Hope you have the best day!
