Missionary Monday - Glenmont Week 12
Buenas.
So last Monday we had fhe, Andrey (16) came and got challenged by a member (age 38) to a game of Pez, which is like the ghetto version of fifa and all the members were roasting the guy who owned it. He ended up beating Andrey #Fellowshipping 💯 😂
Tuesday we tracted a bunch and met with Clara, basically she would get baptized if she wasn't living with a guy half her age, they'd get married for his greencard but she isn't divorced from the guy in her country so they are kinda stuck... We brought hermano Jimenez and he gave it to her straight so hopefully she does what she's gotta do.
Wednesday we weekly planned and tracted a bunch. Talked to a 7th day Adventist guy, he was nice but too loyal to his Bible. #KeepTheSabbathDayHoly #AKAsaturday.
Thursday was kinda rough. Bunch of knocking and no one answering. We met with our less active guy Hno Robles. He basically said he'd come to church if his wife wasn't too fat for her dress... She was right behind him 😂 Apparently that's why she won't go and he won't go if she won't go so together they will ride off into inactivity. We committed them to come this Sunday, spoiler alert, the dress still didn't fit. (they didn't come)
Friday was district council. It was Elder Wahlquists last district council so he had to take a "Death pic" He was going to be headfirst in a trash can with his legs hanging out but the only trash can he could find was a Lil cracked so when he dove in it shattered. 😂 We had 4 lessons planned for the afternoon/night and everyone canceled 💩 And we had dinner with a member from 4 to 5 so from 5 to 9 we had straight finding, good times.
Saturday we ate with the red snapper guy from last week to do another recent convert lesson. He redeemed himself with some super good carne asada. 😋 That night Andrey and Amado dogged us on lessons so we had 3 more hours to find. We talked with an evangelist "pastor" while tracting for like 20 minutes, he was a cool guy but refused to consider the Book of Mormon even though it made sense logically to him. Wish you guys could have been there.
Sunday Elder Wahlquist gave a talk, he did a good job. Before and after dinner we tracted our hearts out and talked to 40 people just knocking which is pretty good 😂 Got let in once and had a pretty good lesson with a family. Buuut other than that nothing else really happened.
Today will be transfer calls, I'm not sure if I'll stay or if I'll go. We'll see. Other than that we are pretty busy with a whole lotta nothin. I hope you all had a great week and I look forward to hearing from you!
