Easter 2019

Thanks to the rain and hail this was the first Easter egg hunt in all the years of our Easter egg hunts where we had to move indoors.

The girls love it as much as they did when they were tiny.
Kloe might love it the most.
She's soaking it up while she can since she'll age out of the hunt once she graduates from High School.

They had just as much fun hunting for eggs inside as they usually do outside.

After all the Easter festivities Kev took everyone for a ride in the bus.

We each had a seat with room for one more.
Estabon can take that seat three months from today.
Now we just need a bus table for our Rook games.

We missed our Arizona Becks.
Beau had his very own Easter egg hunt.

While we were sitting in Sacrament Meeting Lilly leans over to me and asks what Easter eggs have to do with Easter and Jesus Christ's resurrection.  I explained that just like Christmas, Easter has some other traditions that are just for fun.
When we got home from church the girls and I studied from the Come, Follow Me manual and the New Testament.  We'd been studying throughout the week about the week leading up to the Savior's Atonement, Crucifixion and Resurrection and we talked more about why Christ's resurrection is so significant.  We discussed how it's actually even more important than Christmas and decided that next year we want to celebrate Easter in more deliberate ways and for longer than just a few days.  We also talked about what Easter means to each of us and the word we settled on was "Everything".  Christ's Atonement and Resurrection has the power to make everything right.  It gives us the blessings of repentance and life after death.
