Count Your Many Blessings

It's tradition to deep clean the family room for General Conference so Friday was the day.
We found some pretty disgusting stuff under the cushions of those couches.

I think Lilly might have been the most excited of all the girls.
She came home one day from school last week.  She'd been talking with her friends about Conference and she was so surprised to learn that none of them watch all the sessions.  Not everyone knows General Conference is a holiday weekend.

Her twins were so good.  They never made a peep.
We all sat gripped through every session (except Kloe and Emmy who at times had a really hard time staying awake :)
A few of my favorite messages were...

We cannot control external forces but we can find peace joy and happiness...the adjustments (ministering, home centered church supported gospel, etc) have spiritual purposes.  Those purposes will be seen as we live the gospel and obey the first two commandments.  Love God and love our neighbors. --President Russell M. Ballard

When prayers aren't answered the way we want them to be, God has a better plan. --Brook P. Hales

Step back and ask Heavenly Father what to let go of.  --Sharon Eubank.  I loved everything about her talk.  Definitely one of my favorites.

Social media and the internet should be a servant, not a master. --Quentin L. Cook

There are no limits to the Savior's redemptive power....Guilt can be useful as a warning and protection, not a punishment.  --Tad R. Callister

I think my very favorite moment of conference was during the Priesthood session.  The choir sang Count Your Many Blessings and since last December I can't hear that song without thinking of my Dad.
Here he is last December counting his many blessings despite being so sick.

The pancake bar was a hit.
I think it will be tradition going forward.

Kloe and Nick spent a session with Nick's brother and his girlfriend at Temple Square.

Then Garren went with Nick and his brother to the Priesthood session.
And let me just say right here.  My girls are so lucky to have such great guys in their lives.

When these two weren't watching conference they were on the trampoline.
Dad put it up Friday and thanks to great weather they haven't stopped jumping.
