Send Some Prayers
Saturday was a busy day.
It was our Stake youth service morning at Temple Square.
We usually pull out the flowers but when I signed us up for this year I was told we'd be planting bulbs for Spring.
But, our group ended up pulling flowers.
Bummer, but still pretty fun.
Did you know Kara has a little sister?
Jaycee may look small but she's tough!
She was pulling out plants three times her size.
Jesse is one of Dakota's best friends and he showed up to help feed the kids breakfast.
It was so good to see him!
Jesse was able to work on the Washington DC Temple last year so he and Dakota were able to play a little basketball together with some of the people Dakota was teaching.
Saturday night was the neighborhood Trunk or Treat and Chili Cook Off.
My white chicken chili did not win any prizes :(
The girls make out pretty well in the candy department at these so I've been trying to convince them we should skip trick or treating and go see Goosebumps 2 on Halloween instead.
They are thinking about it.
My Dad has had some rough weeks, (actually he's had several rough years in a row) but the past few weeks have been his worst. We brought in hospice last week and that has been a huge blessing.
Despite being miserable he's staying positive for the most part. My mom is amazing, taking care of him around the clock. She's definitely being blessed with a strength beyond her own.
If you'd like to send some prayers Papa Tom's way, he'll take them,
Mama Jan would too.
