Cancun - #1

We woke up to this little note from Janie the morning we left.

Bought us matching travel pillows at Bucee's when I was in Texas.

We were pretty excited to leave the cold weather behind.

We stayed in a condo in the hotel zone and everything I read said not to bother renting a car because everything was accessible by bus and it's only 12 pesos to ride (which is around 60 cents).
Riding the bus was a kick!  Some of the drivers were a little crazy and we even had some entertainment on board a couple of times.

It was pretty easy to get around and by the end of the trip we were pro bus riders.

One of the highlights for me was eating guacamole every single day.  I love the stuff.  So so much.

One day we took a ferry over to Isla Mujeres.  It was about a 20 minute ride and this guy sang and danced for us.  I sat by a nice lady named Becky from South Carolina, or maybe it was North Carolina.

You can rent a golf cart or scooter to explore the island.  We opted for the golf cart.  It was Spring Break so there were tons of people.  Normally we try and avoid the people but it wasn't too bad and our condo was away from the party zone so it wasn't crowded there at all.

The beaches on this island are beautiful and we hear there is great snorkeling too.

After our day on the Island of Women we found this cute little place for dinner and it ended up being our favorite.  It was called Tacun.  We ate there 3 different times and loved everything we tried.

This trip was a little different for us.
Usually I do a lot more planning ahead of time but I didn't get around to it.  Kevin did some searching online for things to do before we left but for the most part we winged it. I told my crazy need-to-plan-every-detail-ahead self to relax and just go with it and it worked out pretty well.
