Showers are Optional
It snowed most of our drive up Sunday night. The road leading to the cabin only had an inch or two but we ended up getting stuck on a steep part. Every time I'd try and go forward (and backward) the back of the car would slide toward the cliff to the right of us, even in 4 wheel drive. A car stopped to try and help us and they ended up stuck and then ran into us. My little girls were getting pretty scared and a couple of them started to cry. We said a prayer and then tried again. The tires gripped and we were on our way. When we arrived at the cabin the girls wanted to say a prayer of thanks before we even got out of the car. Grateful for access to heaven's help and for kids who recognize it when we receive it.
We stayed in our PJ's for 2 days straight.
At the cabin showers are optional.
Make-up is banned.
Popcorn and licorice = lunch.
Naps are always encouraged.
Lilly's foot masseuses are the best!
When we went out to leave Tuesday night the car was dead.
I forgot that Kevin usually goes out and starts the car every day during our cabin stays when the weather is so cold. Thanks to the nice man in the big truck who stopped for the lady in her pj's flagging him down. He hooked up the jumper cables, the car fired up and we were on our way home.
