We OD'd on Ice Cream

After General Conference Saturday night we picked up Aunt Megan and drove to the very top of Millcreek Canyon for a hike!

The leaves up the canyon were beautiful!

The area we hiked had tons of aspens on one side of the trail and the other side was all pines.  The smell of pine mixed with mountains mixed with rain was fantastic!

Em hadn't felt good earlier in the day and the fresh air was good for her.  But when we drove the windy road out of the canyon with the heater on high and Em's headache went from a 3 to a 15.  A Little Ceasars breadstick, 4 ibuprofen, a neck rub from Aunt Meg, and a coke and ice pack from Mama Jan did the trick and by the time we left my parent's house she was good as new. 

Gracie got back from her Young Women's retreat while we were hiking so she got Mama Jan and Papa Tom all to herself for a while.

A little update on my Dad...he is doing pretty well.  The cancer drugs he went on in February are still doing their job and keeping his PSA down.  His energy level isn't where he'd like it to be and he no longer does his electrical contracting work but he's still able to manage is rental properties so he's grateful for that.  He also spends lots of time indexing--he's pretty much a professional indexer!  He and my mom do a pretty good job of taking things one day at a time.

We OD'd on ice cream and then called it a night.
