Finished the Book of Mormon

On December 31st we finished the Book of Mormon so we celebrated with frozen yogurt.

We love that book!

There are some pretty cool blessings given to those who read daily from the Book of Mormon...

The spirit of reverence will increase

Mutual and consideration for each other will grow

The spirit of contention will depart

Parents will counsel their children in greater love and wisdom

Children will be more responsive and submissive to the counsel of their parents

Righteousness will increase

Faith, hope and charity--the pure love of Christ will abound in our homes and our lives, bringing in their wake PEACE, JOY and HAPPINESS

Who doesn't want and need all of that in their life and in their home?

We have seen all of these blessings over the years as we've read the Book of Mormon.  We aren't perfect at it, but we never quit trying.  There are a lot of days the kids couldn't tell you what we read that morning but we receive the blessings anyway.  That's how obedience works :)
