The Ear Piercing Party

Saturday afternoon, after Janie's baptism and lunch, Lilly had a piercing party.

She invited all her brothers and sisters and mom and dad to come see her get her ears pierced.

We let our girls get their ears pierced when they decide they want them pierced.  Most of the girls have got them done around 6 years old.  Lilly hates needles of every kind.  She's been very clear that she has no interest in getting her ears pierced, until last month.  She suddenly decided she was up for it.  I made her wait a few weeks to think about it and watch a YouTube of a girl around her age getting her ears pierced.  She didn't waffle on her decision so Saturday was the day.

When we got there a baby was getting hers done so Kevin walked the mall with Lilly so she wouldn't see the baby's reaction.  Smart move since the baby FREAKED OUT.

Kara and Justin kept her entertained while mom was filling out all the paperwork.

Baby Beck kept the rest of them entertained.

We are so there for each other.

I think the pinch was a little more painful than she anticipated but there were only a few tears shed and then she was so happy with her little pink hearts.  Her sisters and I tried to talk her into the multi-colored flowers so they'd match all her outfits but she was all about the pink hearts.

Today I am thankful for family time, no matter what we are doing, if it's as a family it's pretty great :)
