Research

Last weekend Miss Aubrey took a little trip with her Mama to Philadelphia.
Aubrey is a Communications major and for over a year now she has been working closely with her professors on some research projects.  She'll graduate with a Bachelor degree next month but with grad school experience because of all her research work.  Yep, she's pretty amazing.

Her research on the topic, "Losing my religion" was published in a national journal and she was able to go to a national conference in Philadelphia to present her findings.  All of the other people on the panel had PHD's except one who had at least a Master's Degree.
Being a part of the LDS church usually constitutes a large part of a person's identity.  Aubrey's study was about how people reconstruct their identities after they leave the LDS church and that part of their lives that isn't there any more.  There were basically five types of identities.  The redeemed spiritualist, the liberated self, the disenfranchised victim, the people of science and the Mormon in name only.

She also took baby Beck on a tour of the city.

Had they had more time she would have got a picture with that Rocky statue :)
