UEA in Logan

As soon as the kids got out of school last Wednesday we headed for Cache Valley.

There's nothing better than having the entire family together.

If Janie and Lilly would have had their way, they would have spent the entire trip in the pool.
I have a special place in my heart for hotel pools (and Aunt Tam's pool) because that is where most of the kids have learned to swim.  I put Jax and Emmy in quite a few different swim schools but with 6 or more kids in a class they never learned much.

Look at that bun.
It's all hair and she didn't even rat it to look bigger.  My buns are the size of a silver dollar, if that.

Esty thinks he's pretty funny.
He usually is.

Em is rockin' her Jr year of college.
She opted to be responsible and do homework instead of swim.

This is what family scripture study looks like on vacation.
We are listening to Alma chapters 59 and 60.
Kloe is the only one who fell asleep so that was a win.

The Logan temple was Gracie's 3rd Utah temple to do baptisms in.
Kloe only has 4 more Utah temples to go before she turns 16.

While Kev and the kids were doing baptisms Jax and Aubrey recommended this fun playground for the girls.
The minute they saw it they started screaming and cheering.  They would've played here all day if there hadn't been a pool to get back to.

Haylee has been in Logan for 2 whole months and still hasn't been introduced to Tiny Spicy chicken  so we felt it was our duty to make it happen.

She loved it and we finally convinced Lilly to try it and she loved it too!

See that wallpaper?
It's the same wallpaper that was there 24 years ago when Aunt Jill took me for my first Tiny Spicy.
It's held up pretty good.

Janie mastered the 5 feet deep end with no floaties during this trip.
After Lilly nearly drowned trying to master the 4 feet deep end we stopped at the $ Tree to pick her up some floaties.

Thursday night Kev and I went with Jax and Aubrey, Aubrey's parents, and Marc Young (a friend Jackson met while serving his mission in Michigan 3 years ago) to a session in the Logan Temple.  Jackson was able to do the temple work for Gary Morgan, a man he baptized while serving in Michigan.  It was really great and I'll blog more about Gary another day.

After the temple we gathered the troops (and Marc Young) and went to Angie's to finally clean the sink.  Our college kids have cleaned the sink but the rest of the family hasn't.  With 11 of us we figured we needed 2 sinks.

Don't be fooled by Kevin's smile.  He didn't touch the stuff but went for a slice of apple pie instead.
Guess what?
We couldn't do it.  All my ice cream lovers wimped out, except Aubrey.  She and baby Beck totally did their part, but when the ice cream sweats start coming ya gotta stop.  So, we'll have to go back and just get one sink so we can get our free bumper sticker.

Before heading home Kev took the kids "school" pictures.
Another great pose from Esty.
