My New Tree

I took this picture before painting the wall so I'd know where to rehang them
(sorry not the best before picture)...

And then I decided I wanted a tree.
I have a bunch of pictures saved for when we build the dream house in the country.
As we've been painting I've been thinking about how much I love this house (especially with the new AC :), so why wait for the dream house to materialize when I could be creating fun things in our current home.

I've had this tree saved for a few years.
I'm a little obsessed with the tree of life and wanted to create a wall tree similar to this.
Kev and I looked at several trees for our entry wall and settled on this one...

20 bucks on Amazon
It had fantastic reviews and everyone said how easy it was to put together and re position if necessary.

Papa Tom always says "Take time or make time" so we took extra time to measure just right.
The reviews were correct, it was really easy to put up.

The measurements for the tree however, were not correct.  It was 7 inches shorter than what the packaging said so we got to take the whole thing apart and raise it higher.  Again, the reviewers were correct when they said it was easy to re position.

After...

It's cool right?
I love it!

One of our next projects will be a map/missions wall in the dining room.
Here are a couple of pictures of maps I have saved in my "dream house" folder...

The map is for all our family missionaries and those who serve our country, to mark where they serve.
It's going to be pretty cool too :)
