Sweating
Janie making her very first dessert all by herself...
We headed to Logan after church Sunday for dinner and family night with the college kids (minus Estabon who had to stay for school on Monday and Tuesday--I still need to blog about that, I will eventually). I am embracing every minute I get with all, or almost all our kids while they still live fairly close by. Next year Jax and Aubrey move to Mesa and Esty will head off somewhere in the world to serve his mission. It's both sad and happy at the same time. Kev and I love seeing the kids grow and experience life but we definitely miss them when they get out on their own.
The girls stayed with Em, Jax, and Aubrey while the parents went camping up Logan canyon. Kev now has his car-vel trailer equipped with a fridge, a/c, microwave, and TV, so we took it for a trial run and it was fantastic!
Always good to connect with the husband now and again with no kids around, bless their hearts. We watched movies, read, talked, went for a walk-hike because we are vehemently apposed to working up any type of a sweat since our A/C went out AGAIN. This time for good. So all we do at home is sweat in the 100 degree heat. And we get to keep sweating until Monday when the new one gets installed.
We took everyone out for tiny spicy and Aggie ice cream before heading home yesterday. School starts 2 weeks from today and that is a little sad. The next 2 weeks are full of dentist appointments, Em and Esty get to bond over getting their 6 wisdom teeth out (lucky Em was only born with only 2), school shopping, EFY for Kloe, another season or two of Frasier (we've been camping out in the semi-cooler basement having a Frasure marathon since the A/C went out) and we'll probably work in a little more fun :).
