Soccer

My cute nephew Jett plays for Alta's Varsity soccer team.

Last week they played in the play-offs.

I know almost nothing about soccer.
We have always been a football family (until we watched Concussion :).
Jackson played one season of soccer when he was around 6.  After the season he said he was done with soccer and would just wait until he turned 8 when he could finally play football.

My brother Rick's family is a soccer family all the way.  Not only has Rick coached lots of his kids soccer teams, he and Mindy started a soccer league several years ago.  So they are pretty much professional soccer parents and they were great to keep explaining soccer stuff to us.
Jett played fantastic!  After they beat East (despite the ref's best efforts to swing the game the other way) one of the coaches from East came up to Jett and and told him how impressed he was with his speed.  That kid is seriously so fast!  I think Jett's coach is pretty happy he's only a sophomore.

We went from a sunny 80 degree game against East to a 60 degree windy rainy game against Maple Mountain.  Mama Jan cracked me up in her hood and fishing glasses.  It was a great game but it ended with Maple Mountain taking it 1-0.
