Easy as Pie

Aubrey and Jax were in town over the weekend so the 4 of us went to see Captain America.
It took us forever to get to the theater in rush hour so by the time we arrived the only seats available were on the front row.  We were pretty sad about that until we saw the newly installed recliners.  If you have to be a front row Joe this is the way to go...

On Saturday we had Mama Linda's Birthday breakfast.  In our conversations we all gasped out loud when we found out Mama Linda has made a Minky blanket for everyone in the family but herself.  We also discussed how next time we go to the movie theater with the recliners we're all taking our Minkys.

Did you know?  Estabon and his Dad can also print on shirts.  They made this shirt for Esty over the weekend.  It's his new favorite shirt.  They are gearing up for some big sock orders for church Youth Conferences and Girls Camp.

These two spent all afternoon in the water and sun.  Everyone is counting down the days to Summer.

Gracie learned to make pies on Saturday.
Together we made 2 strawberry rhubarb, 1 coconut cream, and 1 banana cream.
Gracie made some beautiful pies but she will tell you that making pie is not as easy as pie.  She was a little surprised at how much time it takes.

We had Stake Conference over the weekend.
This is us sitting on the hard seats in the very back because we arrived 2 minutes before it started.
The kids were pretty excited about a 2 hour instead of 3 hour church.
We always go to Stake Conference.  We love it but I'm always surprised at how many people skip it.  We especially love the Saturday night adult session where we learned about the blessings of family councils.  You can learn about family councils from THIS talk.

Jax and Aubrey gave our Family Night lesson about how we can have a new heart that is committed to Christ and his church through obedience and personal prayer and scripture study.
And then we had pie and ice cream for dessert.
