Birds & Bees

It's the last week of school for our kids!
They are so excited they can hardly stand it and we are all so ready to be done with schedules for a while.

Gracie came home from school a couple of weeks ago pretty upset.  A girl in her class told the entire table about how babies are made.  Our kids know that they get the birds and the bees talk from mom and dad when they are 12, before they start Jr High.  But we tell them if they hear anything before then about sex to come talk to us and Gracie did just that.  She heard enough that we decided it was time to have the conversation.  She picked Taggarts for dinner and took the news about the same as all the rest of our kids.  They are completely mortified and decide they never ever want to get married and have children.  But, she'll get over it, just like the rest of humanity.
On the way home she asked us what birds and bees have to do with any of it.

I got to spend a few minutes with Jaxer over the weekend while I cut his hair.
He and Aubrey are busy bees, working and going to summer school.  They are in the home stretch with college.  Aubrey finishes in December and Jackson in April.  While this is all very exciting, after Aubrey finishes they'll move to Mesa where Jax will finish with online classes and continue to work for my brother Rob's business.  Jax already has an office waiting for him at my brother's company with his name on it.  I wish Mesa was only an hour and a half away like Logan.

Our Sollis family home evening was at the Moysh house last night.
I caught these two discussing Jr High and politics.
Janie and Lilly were in heaven playing on their new trampoline.

Karter showed us some of his magic skills and Kaitlynn gave such a good lesson on the blessings of listening to the Holy Ghost.

And Miss Stella showed us how she can do cartwheels (she's a self-taught gymnast) and she sang her cute little heart out.
