The Tree of Life

So I may have mentioned I'm a little obsessed with Lehi's dream in the Book of Mormon.

I'm especially obsessed with the tree of life.  It represents our Savior and the entire dream illustrates the world we live in.  Each of us is in the dream.

I picked up this tree to add to our patio's exterior illumination.

It's also another reminder for our family to press forward towards the tree of life (Jesus Christ), holding fast to the rod of iron (the word of God).

I still need to figure out something for the base but I love it!

And check out this tree right outside our church...

It's beautiful.

I don't think it's a coincidence that there are so many trees.  Trees give us life with their oxygen, a parallel to Christ giving us eternal life as we draw near to him and partake of the fruit of the tree of life.
