3 Trips

It was a busy busy weekend.
The girls cute friend Bella was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Janie told me she is so excited for her Dad to baptize her later this year!

Kevin, good Dad that he is, makes sure the kids see all the greatest movies of all time.  So this weekend we watched Back to the Future Part I and II.

The kids loved them!

We made 3 trips to the Salt Lake Temple.

Kev and I went to a session.

Kloe and her friend Alice went to take some pictures.

Then Dakota and Kloe went to do baptisms for the dead.

Kev and I have decided that while the Jordan River Temple is closed, the Salt Lake Temple is our temple of choice.  It's not near as crowded as the Oquirrh Mountain Temple and the sessions are much larger so you don't have to wait.

This would be Kevin reminding the kids of what they should do in case of an emergency at school.

He's always told them if there were ever a shooter (lovely that we get to have these conversations with the children) they should lay on the ground and play dead.  Kloe then tells us that one time her Dad told her to try and give herself a bloody nose so that "playing dead" would look more authentic.  What????  Kevin has never and would never tell her to do that.  Pretty sure our children may need their hearing checked.  Emmy informed us a while back that we gave her the wrong information about how babies are made during the birds and the bees talk.  What????  We've had 8 children.  Clearly we know how to make the babies.

Last night Coy gave a great family night lesson about how Satan will try and LURE us into sin.

He brought one of his cool fishing lures as a visual aid.

Satan is sneaky.

He tries to make wrong seem right, and right seem wrong.

He tries his best to get in our heads.  He's that voice of negativity, the voice that tells us we aren't enough, the voice of shame and guilt.  If Satan is talking to you, he's lying to you.

In other news, it's birthday week for Aubrey Beck!

She'll be feelin' 22-oo-oo on Saturday!!
