Happy 100th Day of 1st Grade!

A couple of Lilly's babies.

She takes good care of all of them.

She couldn't bear to leave her babies so we took them shopping with us.

We filled 2 carts to the brim.

Feeding children is expensive.

A few of them are bottomless pits.  It is my joy to feed them when they aren't complaining about having to eat wheat bread and Mexican food.

When Kevin and I were first married our grocery budget was under $100. a month.

Our rent was $325.

And we drove an old car Kevin's grandparents gave us.

Simpler times.
