Catching Up With the Grown-Up Kids

Meet Kirk...
Our Grandfish.

We loved spending time with our grown-up kids over the weekend.
Aubrey made us a delicious dinner Friday night.
She told us her full time job over the summer was learning to cook and she has become so good at it!

We spent hours talking and catching up (Emmy was there too).
Kevin showed the kids how he can now access the cameras at his tow yard from his cell phone.
He put up the cameras back in 2012 but couldn't figure out how to access them online.  My brother Rick, who's pretty much a professional tech guy, figured it out this past week so now all of the companies who rent from Kevin can see their yards 24/7.

They watched several tow companies come and go and a cat kept them entertained for a while as well.
I guess we'll have no need for Netflix now.

Saturday morning we went to Herms.  See that round thing in the middle of the table?  That's a cinnamon roll smothered in a pound of cream cheese.

The death of a loved one may come unexpectantly.  It is the witness from the Holy Ghost of the reality of a loving Heavenly Father and a resurrected Savior that gives us hope and comfort at the loss of a loved one. --President Henry B. Eyring

The funeral for my Uncle Loyd was Saturday afternoon in Malad.  It was a beautiful service.  His four kids gave him such a nice tribute.  Uncle Loyd is Grandpa Moon's oldest child.  Boyd was his twin who died a few hours after birth.  Baby Kevin is buried right by Boyd.

Grandpa Moon with his 4 daughters and 2 of his son-in-laws.
From left to right, Alex is married to Judy, the youngest of Grandpa's kids.  Then there's my mom who is the oldest sister, Jill is the third daughter and her husband Craig.  Of course that's Grandpa and he has had a rough few weeks.  He fell and broke his elbow in 2 places and had several stitches above his eye.  Losing a son on top of that has been really hard but he's a trooper and he's hanging in there.  Jeri is just younger than my mom.  All of Grandpa's daughter's are good to him but Jeri has been his right hand girl for a lot of years, helping him with the house and the farm and doing all his bookkeeping.  She's moved back in with him to help out until his arm heals.

Cowboy Scott.
(My sister Kimmy's husband)
We hardly recognize him with the beard and hat.

We came home just in time for Lilly's magic show.
